    What oil do you use?

    It’s about 10 psi at idle when warm , i was thinking about switching to 10w30 it will sometime go to the lowest dash mark before the red

    What oil do you use?

    I have a 1994 gmc k1500 with a 350 tbi, I was wondering what oil brand and weight do you guys use? I’m having low oil pressure when it is warm , I was thinking about switching to a thicker oil to get my pressure up . What do you guys think? I use chevron conventional 5w30

    Changed thermostat today , temp gets to operating temp but then drops down to about 160. Is that normal ?

    No lifters tickings. I just wanted to see if it was normal or not.

    Like an obd1 scanner? I thought those were only for codes? Or are you talking about like a mechanical pressure gauge? The gauge could also be off , it is a 25 year old gauge. it never gets past 40psi even when flooring.

    Also my truck doesn’t warm up all the way. I think the thermostat isn’t closing. I think I just need to replace it and see what that does.

    It’s about 10-15psi warm idle in park . Then when I shift to drive it drops down to almost the red mark. then cruising on freeway it’s like, 30 psi. It just seems low to me .
