Man I been neglecting this thread. At any rate I been busier than a one armed paper hanger at work and the weather hasn’t been cooperating for working on a truck in the driveway (high winds and rain) so she’s sat with the block in a trash bag- nobears

No real progress this weekend, aside from getting the top end off the motor. I work all week and Saturday too so Sunday I hope to get the crank and rods and whatnot out. Then I’ll get the motor that’s in the truck out of the truck and tire down. Hoping to take the 2 and make 1 good one- nobears

Also I bought a new daily driver this week (because gas mileage) so this project no longer needs to be done in a real timely manner (although I’d love to be able to get it out of the driveway so I can get my Harley out) so this has become one of those projects that gets worked on as time and...- nobears

Engine paint
What all needs engine paint and what can I just use regular old spray paint on? As I’m building a new motor anyways I may as well shoot a coat if the good ceramic engine paint on it. I want your opinion - Full Front End Rebuild C1500
Definitely MOOG for the steering stuff. Ball joints I got at my local NAPA. Mind you this was 80k ago on my Cummins. Price doing the whole arm before you commit to ball joints and bushings though. They weren’t that much higher for me and I ended up boogering up an arm getting one of the old ball...- nobears

Bellhousing bolts
Probably a stupid question and worthy of the stupid questions thread, but I am fixing to make the hour drive to my nearest big box hardware retailer to grab 4 bolts and 12 washers so I can put my 4.3 rebuilder motor on the stand.
