Need to know a nut size!
Nothin at the boneyard. Napa was no help. I got the old steering column I pulled outta the truck when I put the new one in, guess I'll just bring it to some hardware stores and see what fits. The original nut was a flange nut, is there a problem with swapping that out with a jam nut?- Muddbucket

Need to know a nut size!
Long story short while rebuilding my steering column I fubared the threads on the steering wheel nut. What size of nut is this? I know it's a flange nut but I have no idea what size of nut it is or what the thread pitch is, google turns up nothing. Help!- Muddbucket

Header suggestions for a 1997 GMC K1500 SLE Extended Cab
L31 under the hood. Wondering what full length or even mid length headers will work, clear and have provisions for both EGR and an 02 sensor bung. I'd like to keep EGR to ensure good mileage on the highway. I'm not at all opposed to cleaning things up once in awhile from the crap it deposits...- Muddbucket

Ressurecting a stolen write-off. Need some help in here!
Local wrecker cut me a deal on a steeringwheelless column sans housing but the housing can be purchased from latemodel resto for about 50 bucks., They charged me $80 for the column. The 1997 years thankfully did not have the passkey system so I'll simply drill out the donor vehicles ignition...- Muddbucket

I mean they failed. All they succeeding in doing was ruining a good steering column. I can only assume one of the idiots convinced the other idiot he knew how to hotwire a car.
