Hello everyone. Im hoping I can get some help with this. Had the shift rod pop out on me in a parking lot. Was able to pop it back in and get home, but I don't trust it and want to replace bushings. It is a 1988 K1500 5.7L auto 4WD.
I called dealer and got part numbers, but they couldn't order...
Hello everyone. I on my last oil change, i accidentally stripped my drainplug. I was kinda in a bind, so I just got it to a point it was tight in the hole and I RTVd around it. It was fine as a quick fix, but is starting to leave a small spot wherever I park it now.
I already attempted to...
So I finally got fed up with tightening the bolts on my old dumbo style mirrors after they fold in on the highway. I ended up buying a set of the newer regular style mirrors, and realized as I was installing them that they were actually power mirrors. I tucked the pigtails and just installed...
Hey everyone, I am in the process of getting ready to do some of the ultimate TBI mods since I am going to rebuild my throttle body soon, which got me thinking about my ECU. I know that newer vehicles often have alot of options as far as plug and play tuners(for OBD2), aftermarket and piggyback...

I know your bottle says partial synthetic, but I think I remember reading once before that Brad Penn is the only brand that sells actual 100% synthetic oil since Castrol changed their synthetic.
Thanks for all the advice by the way everyone. Decided to start slow rather than go full bore right away and used Castrol part-synthetic and a bottle of zinc additive. So far no new leaks!
Sorry, just getting back to this. Here is a few quick pics I took over the weekend when I had a moment. They aren't great pictures, but I think they show everything pretty well including the mismatched glove box haha!'
Haha, this truck has been in my family since new and its true, it has spent alot of time sitting. I believe it's early life was spent as a farm truck, but from what I can tell, other than not being used, it was taken care of.
Ran a can of seafoam with a healthy drive and then changed the oil. Was going to see if any change happened but I noticed my radiator leaking badly all of the sudden, so guess I have to worry about this problem first haha.
