Pre Purchase Inspection out of town

I'll share my experience, from about 4 years ago, purchasing a rig a few thousand miles away... Needed a truck after selling my only car at the time - had a deal lined up locally but the seller's family made him back out since they wanted to keep the C1500 in their family... Anyhow, not being...

    Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder Options

Super late response; two years later and it's still working well. I haven't changed anything and the pedal is still pretty soft but shifting just fine. The fork that was replaced is actually spring loaded so I can feel it spring back up. Apologies for not being much more help...

    Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder Options

For whatever it is worth - it was the fork. Some hardware was actually missing entirely. There are still some concerns with the clutch master cylinder as it is SUPER soft but it is operating. I'll continue to explore clutch line options and such to improve engagement in the future. That is all.

    Clutch? Issue

That video is extremely helpful - in the initial 30 secs, he explains a similar scenario about the pedal engaging at the floor and immediate movement as soon as you left off the clutch. I'm inclined to believe I have several things wrong in the trans that I simply missed the 1st go around...

    Clutch? Issue

Hey boss - how did you end up discovering it was the bearing retainer going bad? I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out what's causing my weird clutch pedal feel...this is as best as I can describe it: slightly soft and bottoms out fine but hard to get into gear, but if I continue to...

    Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder Options

Been prowlin' the interWebz in search for some answers. Someone at LS1 forums suggested getting in touch with Tick Performance - I was able to get in touch with someone over there who recommended the following...

    Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder Options

How about the Manual transmission folks in general - what master clutch/slave cylinder are y'all using? Any relevant insight is greatly apricated.

    Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder Options

There's no noticeable leakage in sight - I was always under the impression, that if air was present, it was more of a spongy feeling and repetitive pumping was required to get it to go into gear. That is not the case here but I wouldn't hurt to give it another bleeding just to be sure. I get...

    Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder Options

I apologize in advance for beating a dead horse here - I've been searching the forum/web for a few days now and am unable to find what I am looking for. Issue/Problem - my clutch pedal feels "odd". Very short, very soft and it seems like it has a "secondary push" once you hit the 1st "bottom"...

95 Long bed Reg Cab named "Stitch"

Any plans for the 454 Wheels? Solid build! I need to do some reading up on options for the rear. There is so much to do to these rigs lol

    '89 Stepside "Way Cool Jr."

On the topic of tires - I really wanted a set of MT's so I ordered a set of Sportman S/T tires from Summit since Discount said they were just too far backordered. A bit pricey but fortunately I got a buddy that mounts and balances tires for a couple of beers... 20210428_143437 by Sergio...

Odd sound/no clutch engagement after master/slave cylinder replacement

Sorry to bring up an old post but did you ever figure out what it was? I recently replaced my master/slave with a pre-bled all in one kit and noticed a slight rattling sound as well that goes away when the clutch pedal is compressed. I figured it was the throw-out bearing but now I'm curious if...

    ***** Any 2" / 4" lowers trucks out there???? ******

I get that quite a bit - looks lower than it should be but that's the kit utilized. As mentioned above, tire size def factors into the look.

    Out of my Element!

It's very possible that these were once covered in fabric as it seems there are signs of "residue" once taking a closer look. Now that you've posted that picture, i'm really digging the look - I may try and source some blue fabric and wrap them grills up!
