1995 K1500 - Replacing trans with 2003?

Reverse went on my 1995 K1500. I found a transmission in working condition off of a 2003. I know there are some issues with the 1995 tranmissions... but would the 2003 transmission work on my truck? I know you have to swap out a solenoid and a couple of other things for a 96 to 95 install...

Stammering when first running

TBI motor. I replaced the CTS on the top of the engine. It still sputtered after I started it and drove. What really boggles me is that once the motor warms up a little, it runs smooth as silk.

Alternator issues

Threw in a rebuilt unit from advance auto this morning... It's survived the drive to work and back home. Will see how it holds up. I'll be dropping the HO one off at shop to have the fix it again.

Last month I brought my alternator in to have it rebuilt and have the amperage increased. Brought the alt home and threw it in the truck, drove for 3 weeks before it stopped charging. Brought it back to the shop who rebuilt it, was told it was the regulator. They fixed it on Monday, I put it...

Well, I tried the filter first. Replaced that a couple of months ago, no luck, still stammers occasionally right after cold start. I just got around to replacing the fuel pump, as I figured that could be the culprit. No luck, still does the same thing. I'll fire up the truck, let it warm up for...

To replace torsion bars, or no?

RPO codes from the donor truck are not possible. I have my RPO codes... FK2 & FK3 I believe are my RPOs for my torsion bars.

Shocks are on the list too. The yellow monroes on there now aren't the best... thats for sure.

The keys are not at full crank and the truck didn't drop much when I lifted the plow. I just want to stiffen the front a little more. I guess I need to get the PB blaster going and get the front end pulled into my garage to swap out the bars.

My 1995 1500 has just over 200k miles. It was stock height all its life until last year when I added blocks to rear and cranked the bars. Last year I was running 32" tires with the crank with a plow. No issues with that setup at all! I've since upgraded to 35" tires. I've been running these for...
