    2002 5.7L Vortec P0327 diagnosing help 0411 - Pinout?

thanks, yeah, I don't have 5V when sensor disconnected and ignition on. Should the engine running to get 5V? Any fuses which supply the PCM with power to create the 5v? The KS-sensor wire is not grounded and I checked it complete to the PCM. Any other components which could be pulling the...

5.7L Vortec Valve Cover center bolts- O-ring, Rubber-Washer?

Hello, I got Oil mist on top of my Valve covers, not on the sides and not down the block just on top of the Valve covers. I've cleaned the covers and the oil mist starts appearing again after a few hundred miles around the bolts. Further minimal positive fuel trims, - so those might be the...

    2002 5.7L Vortec P0327 diagnosing help 0411 - Pinout?

Looks like the guide is not a perfect match for 0411 Express PCM - the KS- is on the C1 Connector and not on C2. Does the 0411 even send out 5V reference? or is the BlackVCM which sends 5V?

    2002 5.7L Vortec P0327 diagnosing help 0411 - Pinout?

Hello, my Chevy Express RV is starting to throw a P0327 code. First I started the parts canon, - new pigtail and new AC-Delco sensor. No change - potentially even more frequently.... Then I found here in Forum the Manuals. - thanks for this. I'm following the troubleshooting Guide DTC P0327...

    Electric fan conversion

The power advantage is noticeable in older small cubic vehicles. I've converted a few European cars to electric fans, and the difference is there. Got also a good boost in fuel economy. Yet - those where cars in a cold climate - the fan would hardly ever run. With the mechanical fan, I had...

    Electric fan conversion

I was thinking the same question a couple of years ago on the junk yard. Those 11 blade fan blades go for like a couple of bucks. Then lazy me won, and just kept the 5 blade. It works ;) and I don't drive enough that it would make any difference.

    Electric fan conversion

In my GM P32 based RV I built baffles to direct the air into the radiator. Basically a giant ram air scope for the Rad. As soon as drive 45mph+ the incoming air is enough to cool and the clutch fan doesn't engage anymore. It essentially only engages when I rev up a hill at low speeds. Or...

PCM Ground locations? 5.7L 2000 Chevy

Front PCM ground replaced. Not only wrong location (A/C bracket) but the ground connector fell apart when I opened the bolt. Got a new ring terminal and have it mounted to the thermostat housing as intended.

PCM Ground locations? 5.7L 2000 Chevy

Thanks, I already got that ground strap replaced. I have now two ground straps from the engine to the frame - one from each cylinder-head to both frame rails. My battery ground is on the Passenger side frame rail and it had a signal strap on the driver side frame rail. So I thought - might...

PCM Ground locations? 5.7L 2000 Chevy

Back grounds relocated. Some PO had the two wiring harness grounds connected to a bolt at the transmission. Even worse they had been connected to a painted bracket which holds up the shifter bracket. Not only wrong spot - but a bad electric conductive one. But it back on the manual indicated...

PCM Ground locations? 5.7L 2000 Chevy

and only change one part at a time, otherwise you never know what caused it in the first place ;) Those old frames are not getting better in conducting current and signals when they get rusty and corrode What might have been fine when new - needs more help when old. when you don't have...

PCM Ground locations? 5.7L 2000 Chevy

Still learning here :) I'm coming from a Diesel background and there misfire is extremely uncommon, and very easy to diagnose - there is only fuel delivery. Gas engines are so complex in comparison. At this point I'm following troubleshooting steps from the GM manual. You probably have the...

PCM Ground locations? 5.7L 2000 Chevy

I don't know yet. The errors I got are very intermitted. I have the truck for over two years now and only getting those random codes once in a while, maybe once a month. It's actually running great most days. Just under certain conditions I'm getting misfire codes, but I can't feel a thing...

PCM Ground locations? 5.7L 2000 Chevy

Thanks for that picture. That ground wire is attached to my A/C bracket and the thermostat stud is barren. One of my previous owners swapped the engine and apparently forgot where the grounds should have gone... The rear grounds are attached to the bellhousing of the transmission instead of...
