Mine was doing the same thing it was a power wire from the battery to the trailer brake. The header melted a spot on the wire and it would only do it on rough roads.

I replaced the sensor and fixed the wire but still getting the 43 code. So I ordered a repair manual that came in today finally (Idk why I've waited this long to get one). Ten minutes into it I figure out why I'm still getting code on mine the 7.4 has 2. So I'll probably be ordering another...
Could be a speed sensor. I know the one on the transfer case can affect shifting. I had to put one in my 94 it would go into nutral while driving.

I got it too then looked at the knock sensor and wires are gone. I also read wire could rub and cause the code to come on.

Just got a 1994 crew cab dually the interior lights don't come on with any of the doors open but they all work with the dimmer switch. Would one of the door switches make them not work or just the auto switch for the interior lights.
