Thanks a lot! Very informative. I had serious difficulty finding this information anywhere else, and I looked for like 3 hours today before posting this.

How to drain engine block coolant from 1995 chevrolet k2500 454

Hello, the coolant has not been changed on this new to me '95 2500 454 tbi since before I bought it, and I want to make sure all the fluids are fresh and new. Where are the block plugs? Also, how can I buy new brass ones? I cannot find this part, the engine block plug, on rockauto. Any advice...

    Chatter noise

Mine does this too; not sure what it is myself. Is the exhaust on yours stock? Mine makes this noise on acceleration and the person who owned this truck before me axed off the catalytic converter, maybe that has something to do with it?

Messed up rear differential cover change

Sorry, 1995 chevrolet k2500 7.4l I'll watch a few videos. Any clues on the size?

Messed up rear differential cover change

Yeah, profoundly dumb, I know. I should have just taken it off and started again threading that one first. I should be able to find a new bolt at a hardware store by taking one of the non trashed bolts in and testing it on one of those thread things they have in the nuts and bolts aisle eh...

Messed up rear differential cover change

Hello fellas, dropped the cover on my 14 bolt 10.5 ring gear, drained the fluid, cleaned the magnet, and bought a new cover. But silly me, I used the paper gasket that came with it, and as i was putting the cover and new gasket on the bottom bolt on the differential cover was really difficult...

    How do i do a tune up? 1995 Chevrolet K2500HD 7.4l

Thanks a lot for the info. Did you gap them or just buy them pre-set for .45? The exact plugs you speak of seem to be gapped for .45 and apparently these 454s are meant to be ran at .35, but does that even make a difference? What spot should I mark on the engine to make sure the timing gets set...

    How do i do a tune up? 1995 Chevrolet K2500HD 7.4l

Hello all. I've done some research and maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but how do I tune up my 7.4 big block? Things such as spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Basically, what is the process from start to finish, best order to do things in, and what are the best parts to buy from rockauto...

    1995 chevrolet k2500 TBI 454 to 350 swap

Hahahaha. The next neat trick would be finagling you into helping me out the 350 in.

    1995 chevrolet k2500 TBI 454 to 350 swap

Sorry for the late reply friend. Here it is. Got her from someone who drove it down from Washington. Spent about 3000 bucks fixing a whole bunch of random finicky crap, but the trans and engine are solid. She's my carpenter truck.

    1995 chevrolet k2500 TBI 454 to 350 swap

Gotcha, gotcha. Might be cheaper to just do a 454 rebuild. Thanks. Wasn't sure how many things were compatible backwards. Yeah, mine is rock solid as well. I suppose I'll have to see how long it kicks for.

    1995 chevrolet k2500 TBI 454 to 350 swap

I have a chevrolet k2500 with a 7.4l 454 in it, immaculately kept. However, I bought it with 255k on the odometer and I want to change out this guzzling 454 when it eventually dies to a tbi 5.7l. I know going from a 5.7 to a 7.4 is way more involved, but what barriers impede me from going to...
