    how would it be possible for them to know about the tune when its an obd 1 they cant just scan it and see the tune. I makes sense on yours to have had that second computer to swap in but you have a 98 which is obd 2. mine is only old 1 so they won't be able to find the tune or not.

    i see, i dont think any 383 is going to be carb approved and thats why i judt have to stick with saying its a 350 because from the outside it will look the exact same

    350 stroker build (ca smog legal?)

    I have a 1994 chevy k1500 with a stock 350 tbi. This coming summer I want to pull the motor and get it bored .030 over build it into a 383 stroker with new heads, cam, etc. How would I go about this and make it be able to pass ca smog? Would I have too keep the tbi? is there another way around...
