I appreciate all the info. I got a donor frame. The front third of one actually. It's cut off about 6 inches past front cab mounts. I can weld pretty good and what I can't do my old lady can do. she went to school for welding. welding isn't my problem. I'm not real sure how to go about setting...
Not sure if I'm on the correct thread. I just picked up 2000 sierra 2500 4x4 with 104,000 miles on it. the truck itself is beautiful. still got the clear coat in the bed and the original cab corners and rockers. My problem is the control arm mounts and the front of the frame on the passenger...
I adjusted the valves 3 days ago. The first day was nice, no lifter tick, more power. The 2nd day i started to hear a bit of what i thought was a knock. My lifters never ticked at idle or low rpm previously. But if i got on it at all they would almost sing.
Now its doing nearly the same...
