Thanks on the PYO mod look. Found some at $95 for the set with caps and 24 lug nuts.
Tire shop let me bum 8 from their used inventory. 265/75R16 Cooper AT3 LT completes the set up @ $1040 out the door.
The clear coat was shot on the back side but it is winter so in time, I may strip and polish...
OK great thread. When I bought my 1990 K2500 the seller had just paid $600 by a shop to have his AC system replaced. Looks like cost of parts is about half. OEM may be more than Rock Auto. How much is the refridgerant?
Also what equipment/ tooling needed for backyard do it your self repairs.
Driver side door needs this done. Not bad for now. Just wanting to confirm if the pins wear or mostly the bushings . Also located some made in USA by Total Automotive on eBay and their website.
OK sounds like someone here can help me with the 8 lug adapters to run the newer K2XX take offs either GMC or Chevy. What concerns regarding safety should I be up to speed on if I try . I know PYO is straight bolt on, just wondering.
OK have bee using search function and if it's posted I haven't found it yet.
How safe is it to run the 8 lug adapter and the later 8 lug pattern wheels from 2011 up? Photos of your GMT400 with the newer 8 lug wheels. Lots of them available as take offs craigslist or marketplace. Also links to...
Thanks everybody. POY's winning hands down so far locally they are running $200-250 a set. Holding out for a set with the center caps and passing on those without.
Patience with craigslist and FB marketplace as parts are everywhere and 265's should wear just fine unless we hear otherwise.
Schurkey,
That is the belief of others even though GM says backward compatible V1. Toss up at $14 a gallon for Dex Mer 3 vs Maxlife VI @ $18.
Just wondered if the VI would cause any harm to the TH400 that is over 30 years old.
OK GMt400 wheel guys and gals,
I am wanting to see what the opinions are on if the PY0 is favored over a good looking set of Chrome PY2 wheels with center caps and lug nuts for $175. Or do I leave the Amercan Racing aluminum alloys and save my money.
