Well, new member here, figured id share my truck and the build..

Currently its a 99 tahoe 2door, 80k miles, rust free truck, currently sitting on 40" Irok's, has a mild 350 vortec, that just doesnt cut the mustard!

As of now it has a ford D44 front, Putting in a 79 HP60, Unsure which gearing im going to go with, as its going to depend on if i go cummins, or LSX with a turbo.

44" boggers are going on it next weekend, right now trying to choose which engine to swap in, anyone have suggestions as to which i should put in, and why? Here are my choices, as its what i have in the garage..

2001 cummins 24v, fresh vp44, 150 injectors, hx40 turbo, studded with 170k miles, would also have to use the 47re/np271hd behind it, Or, i have a 6.2 liter L92 rectangle port motor from a denali, that would get a turbonetics 78mm

Personally I vote cummins but only if ur not going in the mud n drive around town 90% as that's what I would do and tow the mud rig plus awesome mpg.

With the gas engine and turbo you win either way as you can turn the tires faster in the mud every weekend from what I've experienced.

I vote Cummins. Why anyone would go with a gasser when you could go Cummins is beyond me.

Thanks for the compliments guys, Honestly im not 100% sure which route i wanna go powerwise, I daily drive a cummins, so not really sure i want another cummins vehicle, although the fuel mileage would be nice, especially the power, obviously wouldnt be near as much as the LSX turbo setup, but im partial, as i have a turbo LS transam.
