so did i miss it, or what

did you just clean the body and the rust off and bedline it

or did you actually replace the rusted sections with new metal panels then do it?

Im also intrested to see if he put new metal in or filled it with bondo or just went over it. i heard that rust can actually eat through the bed coating and bonda would last about a month tops. On my hunting truck i thought about putting POR 15 down first just for a little extra assurance but its kind of in the air because its so expensive. Any ideas about this?

(sorry to thread jack btw)

if it was just surface rust, then it can be ground off, rust inhibited and then covered so long as he got proper adhesion.

I found that adhesion promoter worked like the cats ass when I bedlined the inside of my Cherokee and then rocker guarded the rockers. I just used a flapper wheel on my grinder to get some rust off and give the primer something to bite to.

from the looks of that first pic that he posted...there is alot of rust and it has eaten through the metal already

whole reason i asked what he did because if the metal wasnt replaced its just not gonna look very good
