Has anybody installed a roof cargo rack on a gmt400 pickup?

There's a guy on base with a 400 with a rack that looks similar. I think his is tubing though.

Kevin's design is something I could see working well.

I've always though of a basket for my canopy, but it would never get used.

I actually really like the look of them. That was the first rendition by the way, I made some structural improvements but never took any screenshots

Kevins design is the best way to do it, that way the weight is being applied to the bed rails and not the top of the cab

There isn't enough structure up on the roof to support anything you would put up there without it tin-canning in. That is why the SUVs have ribs in them.

Don't the Crew Cabs have them too?

I love that.. I saw a roof rack on a toyota truck that had a ladder running from the passenger side rocker panel to the top of the roof rack, it sat flush against the side of the truck. along the rear window, thought it was the most badass thing ive ever seen.
