Those two little Rigid pods do more than a rack of KC halogens ever did. They got moved to the big truck but now that I'm driving the blazer again I think I need another set. I think the comparison shot was high beams vs high beams and pods.

Original fogs but they are more of a DRL than serious help-at least I treat em as such. And when I need some serious firepower those 3 on top do the work tho gotta be careful with oncoming traffic. Plus I have this done in low beam.

I got four small led bars inside of the grille. No long distance effect but its a big improvement near the car and in the ditches. Sorry for the bad pic, but they are visible

Headed to wrecking yard first thing in the morning, (12-3) Chasing more parts for 88/89 quad glass headlights, (temp fix; I know they're poor light). Also think I might get some headlight sockets and connectors. I wish I knew where to find the firewall headlight connector location for my 1996 truck. I'd like to build up some connecting parts for making up 4HI and headlight relay cables.
Any thoughts for other, "wear-out," parts, desirable things, etc. would be appreciated.

Another pic I dug up; only mocked up on my red truck but definitely going to be what goes on my K3500. Custom made brackets and cheap halogen lights, I can show pics of the brackets if you're interested? Diesel bumpers are the peak item for aux lighting additions in my opinion,

I just located a diesel bumper from a 1-ton. I'd love to see what you did for brackets as the one I saw today has nothing behind the bumper. $65 for bumper. Mounted with 4 bolts only.

Those are Cibie Oscar driving lights.....I threw the KC's on there because the 'smily face' has been on all my trucks since 1982. The fog lights are Cibie FOG lights and were designed as fog lights....great beam pattern. I have clear and I think amber ones also.

When I get back to the truck I'm sure Ill be playing around with lighting again. Mostly I have Cibie, Bosch, and Hella. I also have an H4 version of the Oscar as well....aux headlights with higher watt bulbs, say 90/65....everything is always on a relay harness and I use Phillips or Osram bulbs. My highs are HIR2s. Go search for 'Spider headlights'....I started that when I was ready to do my truck some years back.
