I'm looking to put America racing outlaw1 wheels on my truck. My setup is currently a 15×8 steel rally wheel. The tires are a copper cobra 275/60 r15. They do not stick out at all which is what I want. I think the wheel has a -12 offset with a 4" back spacing.

The tire shop is say the only way I can achieve the same look is a outlaw WHEEL SIZE
15x7 -6mm
TIRE SIZE
235/70 R15

What do yall think?

The 15x8 AR wheel probably has the same backspacing your existing 15x8 rally wheel does. Take one off and measure it. The 15x8 AR is 3.75"

If you like how the 15x8 rally with a 275/60 looks on your truck, you will not be happy with a 15x7 and 235/70, trust me on that. It will look silly skinny by comparison.

Will push the wheel and tire assembly out 1/4".

Will do the same but with more sidewall bulge.

275/60-15 tires shouldn't be mounted on a 7" rim.

Stock height?
A 235/70 was a common 'upgrade' (?) from the factory spec'd 235/75.
The 235/70 is the same height as the 275'/60's you have now.
8" is a bit wide-ish of a wheel for a 235.
275's are recommended on an 8".
The 70's = 722 revs per mile as opposed to 721 revs per mile.
But they're loosing 40mm of contact patch width.

Na. The truck is lowered 2/4. The height of my current tires are good. I'd like to keep the same width but I just don't think it's possible with the AR wheel since I don't want them to stick out.
