What kind of mileage do you get?

Thats not unusual, especially if you've got 3:42's and a 2wd.

My 98 k2500 is wicked up to about 250 rwhp (dyno proven) and has 4:10's.

I regularly pull down 800 kms combined per tank and get closer to 1000 kms straight highway doing 100 kph (~62 mph).

Thats unloaded though. Chuck the 9000lb trailer on the back and it dives to about 11-13 mpg...

Long bed models should have the 34 gallon tank, short beds are 25 gallon.

But gm didn't always follow their own rules and most of these trucks are getting pretty old so it could be a crap shoot to what's actually up under your particular truck.

Personally, i wish i could get a bigger tank up under it than the stock 34 gallon jobbie. I'd be fine with popping 250 for a full tank and driving a couple months. I'd also be able to fill up when i found a better price and "tanker" it around until i find a good price again.

It's not like fuel is going anywhere but up anyways....

It's 25 gallons but will only draw 23 gallons to keep from sucking the entire tank dry

I did a whole bunch of offroading and tearing around in the snow, hit 4-5k rpms on the highway because I felt like stomping it once- but the weather warmed up a little bit too, so this last tank averaged 12.15 better than I expected

I think my last tank was 16.3mpg. Had to replace the temp sensor since it wasnt reading right. Maybe thatll help me out a little more!

Thinking of picking up a K2500 CCSB with the 454, What Kind of mileage do they get? more horrible then a 350?
