What can y’all tell me about my truck from the rpo codes just looking to know if i got anything interesting

g80 is the eaton gov lok
ye9 is top trim level
gu6 is either 3:42 ratio or no optional ratio picked I think

I do not know any others

The RPO code list is often found in the service manual for the vehicle. There are on-line RPO code "decoders", but here's the list for 1998 which may be similar to that for your year.

I see you've got the L31 engine so, while you didn't say, your vehicle must be 1996 or later.

correct it is a later one being a 99

In the future, it would help if you put your vehicle info in your signature and then update as needed. The GU6 is the 3.42 gear ratio, same as my 2005 Tahoe Z71. I do like the 3.73 gear in the 90 K2500 of my girl's. The 3.42 is a better highway gear for mpg. JB6 is the disc/drum vacuum brakes rated for up to 7200 lbs. GVWR. Again, my girl's K2500 has the same GVWR rating brakes.

Just sent him his build sheet. He’s got 6800 gvwr and JB6 brakes, so I’d say he’s got a 14 bolt…possibly…maybe not.
