Stupid engine question:
On a vortex 454, crankshaft main bearings are numbered #1-#5: is #1 closest to the flywheel and #5 nearest the front?

Edit: Found it, #1 at the front, #5 at the rear (end thrust bearing)

Isn't Rotella T6 a diesel oil?

Yes, it carries API specs for both diesel and gasoline engines. It's a 5W40, and my 330k mile Burb likes it well enough that I run it year round, unless I snag some free 15W40 from work during the summer. It's fantastic stuff, and will help oil pressure a little at operating temp.

So you didnt have any problems?
I just changed my oil to it and for the shot test drive worth I liked it. just hopimg I don't have any issues in the future.
I used it in hopes to run a little higher psi

No, it was fine, I sold that truck to a neighbor who is still driving it.

That's how most think of it, back then, it was cheaper, now it's more and I don't use it any longer.
