I'm curious i want to get a chip through www.tbichips.com but has anybody ever done business with them and is it still considered an "off the shelf chip" considering he wants to know every spec of your truck before he builds the custom chip?

Thats great news now i dont feel so bad for my 3k build but i gotta decide 350 or 383. Also what can a rebuilt stock 700r4 handle

a 700R4 cant handle very much, i would go with a 4L80E if your going 383, i now guys with $2500 700R4 that have blown within weeks just by a mild 350 (1974 Z28 Spec).

if you found a reputable guy with a good warranty, i got a quote for $900 to rebuild my 4L60E to handle 400HP.

You can bolt up the vortec heads, and buy this intake, it will have EVERYTHING you need to run TBI, should warrant about a 40-50FWHP increase

also, if you look into Vortec Heads, Your gonna come across the debate that the 062 heads flow better then the 906's, it is COMPLETELY not true, and the rumor was started by a magazine that didn't do tier homework.
