Bumper looks good. Great fab skills. You do it the way I do, always make it way more heavy duty than it needs to be.
Just now seen this thread. Great job on the bumper. I need to start practicing some welding.only have a small Flux corded Lincoln that I used to make small cattle gate repairs but im more of wood worker. Have you ended up using a winch
Looks good , with what i know now about these frames i would add a bolt on skid plate from bottom of the bumper to the crossmember for the lower control arms using 2 braces in a H pattern with skid plate under it . The frame horns just arent like early 80's trucks.
a bumper like that would look good on my one ton. just finished the rear bumper, all made from scrap and want to do the same on the front.
