Well I figured it was time to start a build thread on this here. I will be cutting and pasting info from the other build thread I have on the truckstop as well, But to give a bit of history, I bought this truck from an old friend of my dads in february for 2k as well as bought a couple spare diesel engines from him along with some spare alloy wheels and tires. Here are a couple pics of it from today after a quick wash.

Work done to the truck at time of purchase:

PMD Relocated into airbox
Injector pump has been advanced in timing
Steering system has been rebuilt
Trans has been rebuilt
Engine is lower milage and a year newer with rebuilt heads.
The truck is basically fully loaded or as close as i can see.

Power drivers seat (60/40 bench)
A/C
Am/FM radio with Cassette player in the center
Cruise control

It came with about 1 spare PMD, 3 spare Injector pumps, the original short block which will need a rebuild, an early 6.2 for my '69 GMC project.

Mods done so far:
Manual override for the glow plugs. This is wired in such a way that the original glow plug relay still functions as normal. Its mainly for colder weather use to warm the plugs longer.
remote filter from a 6.2 truck with 3/8ths line between it and the FFM
OPS has been bypassed with a direct connection to the ignition. This will prob remain but i will be adding a relay to it for safetys sake

Work done since purchase:
New starter

Planned mods:
Overhead and center console
Guages (EGT, Boost, Trans temp,Rear diff temp, secondary voltage guage, fuel pressure)
Mandrel bent cross over pipe
larger downpipe
4" exhaust
boost controler
265/75R16 tires
TAG style bumper
GMT 800 mirrors
Kodiak door handles
upgraded battery wiring and glow plug harness.
high 4 headlight mod
headlight relay harness
Smittybuilt 10k winch
Third deep cycle battery specifically for winch use
Upgraded alternator (160 amp vs stock 105 amp)
Rigid industries "Dually" Led lights in bumper

Possible additional mods:
Carr low profile light bar mounted as far forward as possible (baja style)
Rigid industries sr series 20" Led light bar on carr light bar
N-fab cab length step bars
Paramount restyling "Evolution" grille (RBP style mesh grille)

Here are some older pics of the truck the day I bought it:

Took a couple more pics mostly to compare height of my truck compared to some members on here to figure out if n-fabs will suit it.

Looks good ! 6.5 1/2 tons gotta be pretty rare

I see the odd one around here but then again this is an oil town so im not surprised, After i bought this truck it seems like all the 6.5 trucks started popping out of the wood work, Most of them being K2500s and K3500s But i have seen the odd 1500 here and there..funny enough most of the 1500s i see around here are C model 2wds.

Idk what it is, but I love that thing! Nice!

Thanks!

Here are some more pics of the truck, Including some front end shots to figure out if i am cranked at all or not. Now that i seen it in these conditions i am def seriously considering getting some smoked corners and tails from devs. I think they would look great with the trucks current paint color.
