I need new brake pads, the ones I had are about done and they put a lot of dust on the wheels. Is a better choice for about the same price ?

Akebono ACT369 are an excellent pad as well, FF friction rated. Not quite the GG of the Raybestos, but they stop well, are low dust, and not noisy. Also seem to be easy on the rotors.

Not quite the GG of the Raybestos

As shown in Caman96's picture on page 4 of that thread he linked, the Raybestos EHT369H now appear to be HH rated. Kind of wish I'd waited a while to buy mine...

Even the older GG rated ones are awesome though. They do dust quite a bit, but they've got a ton of stopping power.

Jesus, sounds like a track pad.

They might as well be at this point, I think they're even more aggressive than some track compounds from manufacturers like Hawk.

Do those raybestos pads have to get hot before they do much?

Nope, they work great from the first stop of the day on my trucks.

FYI the first letter in the two letter DOT friction code is the "cold" (200-400°F) rating, and the second is the "hot" (300-650°F). So a pad with a DOT code in which both letters are the same (like the Raybestos EHT369H for example, HH code) should perform similarly at low and high temperatures.

Apparently I got an old set. Just ordered these from RA, closeout for $19. The older GG, apparently.
