not really, the premades are a big junk gimmick. custom by a well known tuner is about your only way to go. do some research for someone local to you that knows their stuff and then get a quote etc etc.

I just installed my hot chip from tbi and so far I noticed more power through out the whole rpm range but I have more wrinkles to iron out. I'm sure having 37s and 4.88 gears is factoring into them lol

I have an '88 with a 4.3 5-speed with 333,000 miles on it. The original clutch is starting to slip. I've got an '89 305 I'm going to swap in along with the new clutch. Will the 305 run with the 4.3 chip? If not where's a good place to get a stock chip for an '88 305 5-speed? I have a mild performance chip from an '88 305 automatic Camaro but dont know if it will work right because of being for an automatic tranmission. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

youll need a larger tb and some other stuff at that point put a 350 in it.

4.3L and 305 share the same TB even the same injector's. but i do agree, 350 is a worthwhile swap, 305 isnt, i believe the TBI 4.3L and TBI 305 were with 10HP of eachother. i believe if you got the heads off a 1994/1995 4.3L (they got CPI heads, easily spotted by the plastic "Vortec" valve covers) you would be making the same HP as a TBI 305

They would be a bolt on swap, no tune required.
