Don't think I've had this one up yet so...
Bought it as a running basket case. Dropped CBR600F2 wheels on it so I could use modern 17" battleaxe radials, clipped the rear fender and modified the OEM air shock for adjustable length (more ride height in rear means sharper steering up front):

Then on went VF1000F 41 MM front forks and triples with cartridge emulators to replace the 39MM stockers. Chuck in a CBr600F2 re-sprung and re-valved rear shock for good measure;

Pretty happy with it at that point. Rode great, handled great, looked great. Rode it that way for a couple years, then parked it and preserved it when my busted body started protesting too much...
Last year I rolled it out from under it's dusty cover where it's been sleeping for years and started more serious alterations. Everyone needs a project!
CBR600RR rear swingarm and CB1000RR rear shock:

Didn't like the OEM twin cans with the CBR/RR arm, they weren't going to fit anyways. Tried a high mount:

Nope, don't like that. looks too chunky and fat. Lets go a bit more "radical":

Like an underslung Ducati DB2 exhaust. Mass centralization, lighter weight and bags more ground clearance.
Then on went new brakes:

Sp2 brake system and NC24 floating discs.
Light out put from the stock halogen was ok, but I'd ridden some exotic european stuff in my time. No comparison between NA and european stuff. The bike is old and far from being a "sportbike" anymore. I decide on a more "endurance racer" look. I'd ridden a CBX750F before in the UK and the light output was staggering. I must have a set:

I buy 'em on ebay.uk and pick them up on one of my business trips. Same with the NC24 rotors. None of it availabel in NA.
But the single lamp fairing doesn't fit. Time to start chopping. First the mounting needs to be sorted:

Chuck in some odd bits like an SP2 1/4 turn throttle and switchgear:

Spin up some peg mounts, pop on some vf1000F side covers and this is pretty much how it sits today:

Still have some cleanup like an offset drive sprocket, CRF rear master cylinder, Front caliper mounts, paint, etc but it's 90% there....
