I have asked in another thread, but I figured I figured I would make a new one to not hijack.

Anyway, I have a Vortec 350, and I do not have to meet emissions. I am disabling my EGR system. Will I need an EGR block off plate? I already have new headers that do not have the EGR tube, so I am good there.

You're wasting your time unless you have money to get it tuned out.

The OP is having it tuned out...he posted it in the exhaust thread. Getting tuned by BB.

And the EGR delete is an awesome mod if you dont have to worry about emissions! Free up some engine bay space, looks coolers, doesnt recylce exhaust gases in the intake system.... DO IT.

Yep, he is right.

So is this more of what I would need? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VORT...Q5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_1108wt_1165

And thanks 96tx2dr, I can always use the GM part number if I cannot find anything else.

Yea it's good, aside from that whole thing about killing highway fuel economy. Have fun though! (you can't effectively tune an engine to run stable at high lambda without some sort of inert recirculation into the combustion process. whether it be via cam profile or EGR) That's really only an issue if you're worried about fuel economy though, otherwise ignore.
