My front brakes now are cross drilled and slotted rotors plus pads and boy do they work great. Got them from summit for 165ish. They are powerstop brand. Well worth it

They tend to crack around the holes. They're also just for looks, not performance. Long gone are the days of brake pad compounds that emit so much gas under heavy use that the holes actually served a purpose.

Any improvement will likely be due to a more aggressive pad than what you had on there before.

All you really accomplish is reduce the surface area for braking...

Seen where someone makes dimpled rotors now, allows gas escape without the hole going all the way through the rotor and making it weaker. If what was said about newer pads is true than it wouldn't matter I guess.
