An S series torque converter is what my tuner said he puts in most of the LT4 and similar cam swapped cars and trucks. He said the stall is perfect.

Ill be using one when I do swap.

EDIT: this post was meant for Tall Valve Covers thread. Lol.

Installed motor with LT4 Hotcam. Some small mods are required. I am still sorting a few out but here is what I did to a/c compressor to clear tall valve covers. I took off one corner of the bracket and had to file the housing a little on one side.

Thanks, i wish we could delete the AC.
Not sure if its possible with a pulley like i did with my vette

I was under the impression we can delete A/C. Just need the pulley from GM or another model that came without AC. Maybe someone else can confirm.

or a smaller belt an an idler plley tapped into the bracket. thats what i did with my thirdgen i ended up using vortec pulleys i had laying around and modded them to clear the hood.

btw can i do the cam swap without pulling the engine right?
just removing grille & rad ?
