It's too bad that Tyler doesn't know how to read. If he did he'd not trash everything I say. Like a 160° thermostat. I'm not going to waste my time or yours explaining it to him. As for "pretty parts" I don't care what they look like as long as they are a good quality and proven part. Hell you can't even see anything on my engine unless you take off the dog house which is a pain in the butt to do. I bought header plugs for the extra clearance and they were cheaper than the AC delco one's! I'm a smart shopper and always get great deals no matter what it is I'm buying. I always get as much information about a part of I haven't had previously used them. If they don't perform well then they go back!
As long as I have to replace the alternator I'm also changing out the water pump with an high flow aluminum one, a one inch fan spacer, a new six blade aluminum fan, new fan clutch, both tension pullies and the March Performance Pulley kit. I also got the matched set of injectors I have been waiting for. I was going to hold off putting them in but one of mine are dripping too much at idle so Like I said it's a pain to remove the dog house so I waited until I got all the parts at once instead of tearing it apart numerous times. I'm still waiting for a few items that should be in next week. When I'm all done I'll post updated 0-65 time's. The next big thing is the posi rear end and the 4.10 gear's. I'll have to calibrate the speedo but I found a site that gave me a how to on adding dip switches to get the correct readouts on the speedo. That way I won't get any false readings for my timed runs. I'm waiting for a friend to weld up a small hole I ground through the SS headers as I was port matching them! It's only the size of half a dime but must be fixed before I install the Headers and the dual exhaust. One side note, my 1990 G20 Van with the same motor has a factory 3" exhaust front to rear and my 95 has a 2 1/4 inch? I don't know why they went with the smaller exhaust. I left the one on the 90 with just a magna flow muffler and cat. It sounds great. The new exhaust on my 95 is going to be true duals without cat's and Dynomax VT muffler's that exit in front of the rear tires. Before anyone says anything about me not running cat's, where I live in Arizona we don't have to go through emissions here! If I ever need to put them on it won't be any problem at all. The VT muffler's are great. They have a Valve or flap that stays closed until you really get on the truck. Then they open up and it's a straight through system! Otherwise it's like having a regular performance muffler. Can't wait to hear them. I'll try to take pictures of the project as it progresses if I remember. It seems like I always think about it after I'm done. I did take pictures of the throttle body before and after. But again I forgot to take a picture just before I installed it. I'll post those when I have others. Well wish me luck getting into the tightest engine compartment you can imagine. For the front of the engine anyway.....
