So there is where I'm at. I need to redo the hood and in order to paint the grille I need to remove the bumper which will also be painted black. I do need to do other things like the gap under the tailgate, door jams, etc but I'm cool with it for now.

It looks pretty good and I already get plenty of looks!

Keep an eye out on GovPlanet, they get tons of military vehicles, never knew about the CUCV II or I'd have kept an eye out when I'm drooling over CUCV's themselves.

1993 CUCV II trucks were also available with 6.2L Detroits, but only for 1993.
the reason it stopped in 93 is because GM discontinued the use of mechanical injection as an RPO, which is strange, because they continued their use in military applications. they started electronic IPs in 94, which opened a whole new can of worms. guess they were keeping their options open just in case the money train ever pulled into the depot.

Installed a toolbox (which is **** but works to keep chains and stuff in) and had a radiator casualty. Luckily I have another one! Going to swap it in here shortly.

I don't know what the hell I hit but it was enough to make the truck overheat the moment I saw steam
