    Yup exhaust leak, what you described is to the letter how mine was. For me it ended up being 4 small holes in the intermediate pipe and 1 big one where a exhaust hanger rusted off where it was welded. Good luck exhaust work is a p.i.t.a haha

    I wanted to swap to a cluster with a tach, but so far no luck finding one. I went to the only pick and pull around here that I know of 3 times and so far no luck. I've found tons of moonie style cluster and 95+ style ones but none like mine.

    I hooked in into the booster hose and it works great no leaking of air and locks up the TC just like it should. Thanks guys

    I have a 94 that has an instrument cluster without a tach, is it true that getting a cluster from a 92-94(I believe those are the years with same style clusters) that has a tach is just plug and play and it will work?

    Yea it's a aftermarket lockup harness for the 700r4 that locks up the TC by vacuum pressure. I didn't have the harness and computer that came with the 91 to put in my 94 so I had to use a lockup harness.     Taillight loose red wire

    Nevermind, found a ground wire that was hanging back by the bell housing bolts. Grounded it and it fixed my brake light problem as well as my wipers not working. Have no clue how that one ground fixed my problems but oh well, i guess

    Taillight loose red wire

    My brake lights aren't working fuse is good and bulbs are good. I took the left taillight off and there is a red wire that goes from the harness loom and is just hanging there. There's only the red wire on the drivers taillight not one in the passenger taillight. Any ideas on what its for and...

    Speedo ?

    Fuse is good, the weird thing is the brake lights used to work when the ignition was off, but when the ignition was on they wouldn't. Then i plugged in the lockup harness's plug and they were working. Now nothing when ignition on, off, or running.

    Okay. Off topic but another problem I have is my brake lights aren't working. I had this problem before and a guy on here told it was because I didn't have the trans lockup harness hooked up yet. So i hooked it up and my brake lights worked, but now they don't again any ideas on this?

    Oh I see, so definitely don't plug the 4l60e's plug into the 700r4 then? haha. I don't mind driving without the speedo was just wondering if it was as simple as plugging in the old trans harness

    Thats weird cause I just went out and plugged the tailshaft plug in and it seemed to fit fine, I just haven't taken it on the road again to see if speedo is working.     truck is a 94 but the 700r4 i'm using is out of a 91. Tailshaft are exactly the same and have the same plug.

    red wire disconnected?

    Yup P.O. had this set up on my truck a red wire goes from trailer harness by back bumper and runs up into hood thru the firewall and hangs by the fuse box to tap into a fuse for 12v keyed power.
