My radio has now decided to stay on, all the time on one station at a constant volume. i cannot adjust the volume or station and none of the buttons work, Not even the power button. Oh by the way its stuck on a southern gospel station. Ideas?

I would say more than likely the CIA! Lol! Is it the stock radio? If so, I had one that wouldn't change stations and sometimes it would just go totally off. Hit a bump and it would come on wide open and scare the crap out of you! I just changed the head unit with another one just like it. Haven't had a problem since. I did take the other one apart but never saw anything obvious as to what was wrong with it! Might wanna check your truck for bugs though! These secret societies are pretty sneaky!:rotflmao:Good luck!

What year is your truck? I have a radio/tape player that came out of my 97 that is sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

I had one that would stay on constantly. I found that there was a penny that had been shoved in there by previous owners.

Pull the deck and shake it. Listen for something loose inside. Then toss it in the trash and get a decent cheap deck from somewhere and a Scosche wiring harness converter and a faceplate adapter and slap it in there in it's place. ;)

I have a '93 and am very happy with a Kenwood aftermarket. I went the usual route of installing with a new adapter under the center AC vent and adding a delete cubby on the cluster where the old radio head was. I can't say it wasn't a bit of a pain to install as it involves soldering about 8 wires from the factory harness to the adapter that fits the Kenwood. Not all that difficult if you don't mind that.

The good news is that the aftermarket radio not only plays CD's but also has bluetooth for playing music from your phone or connecting your phone hands free. It really brings the truck into the modern era.

GOD IS SENDING YOU A MESSAGE,,,, ditch the OE deck, and replace it with a new one. I have a Pioneer blue tooth. I love it. It was around $150.
