I hear you loud and clear. When I got my truck, the person whoever had it before me had put 2 small oval Hella offroad lights on my truck with a grille guard and the wiring was a mess. It sucks when a previous owner doesn't do it right the first time.

For your grille, you said you just got it from Ebay? Was it chromed aluminum? I found a chrome aluminum grille insert on Amazon for about 40 bucks. Finally got a GMC grille today, hoping to do what you did to your grille with the insert, I think it looks cool.

Also, holy crap did you paint your body molding red and the door handle red too? Or is just the lighting in the picture? Either way, looks badass with the chrome and red molding.

Just the way the light is hitting them; and the wiring is a damn mess! The trailer plug was a rats nest and I still need to trace the 5th wheel plug and rewire it all, there was plugs for fog lights that had been tapped into the turn lamp wiring. I'm starting to get it cleaned up, but it's still got a little ways to go before it's all 100%

The insert is one I got off Ebay for like $35, and it's pretty great quality.

White truck, red dually bed, and burgundy flipper were a wiring mess too. It's like they go out of their way to maximize fuckulation.

I just don't understand it, the wiring is in the harness for the trailer plug, there's no need to hack into the tail light wiring to tap for the trailer brake.
I'm probably gonna grab a new trailer brake controller too, it's a Tekonsha brand or whatever the name is that's in the truck already. Any recommendations or is it already a good one?

I have one by same company and I like it. Only problem is adjusting it when I load an unload the trailer, sometimes I'll forget to adjust it after hauling a load an the my trailer brakes will lock up since no load.

I've never had a trailer behind this truck, so I don't know if mine is any good. But I plan on buying a decent 18 or 20 foot car hauler sometime this year,

Tekonsha has some of the best controllers on the market, I think. I had a P2 on my last truck and the P3 I swap between my suburban and current truck. Can’t say I think the P3 works much better. But has a better display. And is only $10 more.

Yes, adjustments must be made for load. But it’s quite easy. And you will be reminded when your load is light.

The on I've got is the Voyager 9030 or something; all I can find online is sales ads and instruction diagrams and such.

I feel bad because I haven't given the truck a lot of love here recently. I washed it only for it to be undone by heavy rain not even 15 minutes after I got done washing it.
I'm gonna be buying new headlights cause I'm sick of these rattling because the bases are ****** up. So when these come off, I'm gonna fix them and throw them on the GF's Tahoe.

The list of upgrades I want to do keeps growing, but my want for new tools and a need for new boots and other bills are putting a damper on that list. I'll get there someday though.

Also I noticed a new coolant leak. I think it's the lower rad hose, but I've been driving so hard all weekend I haven't had the time to check.
