So ive got this 96 half ton with a 4.3 vortec and- despite the amount of time ive spent under the hood in the last year I love this truck so much.. Recently I had to do the intake gaskets and ended up breaking that coolant fitting in the manifold.. and out of frustration broke the manifold...

My Maxxforce 4.3.. sorry.. My Vortec 4.3 emptied all its coolant into the oil pan last week.. So after I got it home I stripped the top end down cleaned it all up.. Broke the stupid heater line fitting in the manifold.. tried to extract it and... after a little to much persuasion...
So i am getting really sick of putting constantly installing new steering components. The road i live on is rough and with winter coming it isn't getting any better!
I thought about installing a steering stabilizer to help absorb some of the wear. has anyone installed one on there 2wd- if so...
I wish i could find one for that price. Around here i would be no less then $1000 plus paint. I think ill just cut out the rust and use some body panle adhesive as they arent really structural. Fixing
the rest of the rust up on the box probably won't be so bad

Second the vacuum leaks.. and don't just check for them put a gauge on it! Put a mechanical gauge on both your fuel pressure and vacuum and drive it.. This will tell you a lot.
Also.. try unplugging your MAF and driving and if no difference then plug it back in and unplug your TPS. I know you...
