I like your plans, sounds good. I like to say that a chevy was made a chevy and a gmc was a made a gmc, so why change it?

Sent from my 350 TBI powered iPhone

I just prefer the Chevy grille. Still not 100% sure I'll do it.

Got the new DMI bumper, hitch, ID light bar (3 under tailgate lights), and the front Rancho shocks swapped over. I have the rear Rancho's and the U-bolts pulled off the '96. Everything is set-up to swap the 2" lift block and rear shocks over tomorrow.

I will post up pics once I get everything done.

I desperately need to get a few cans of black spray paint and paint the entire underside of this thing.

Thanks!! I've painted the underside of 2 of my other trucks and it's a night and day difference. Amazing how something so simple and cheap can make such a big difference.

Where did you get that aluminum front skid plate? Can't seem to find one anywhere!

Came off of a wrecked Z71 that was in the junkyard. Took me quite a while to finally find one. I wish I could have grabbed the gas tank and transfer case ones off that truck as well.

Did some interior work this weekend. Got the OHC, comp/temp mirror, and the tranny temp gauge installed.

And here's some pics of my old '96 being put to some good use other than taking up space in my driveway. It's being turned into a SAS'd mud truck on 44's.

Not sure how I missed this build but it looks awesome so far. I'd love to have a 2500 with a 454 over a 1500 with a 5.7 any day. Color combo looks sweet too!
