Very nice truck waiting for more

Thanks!!

Are those the Lucas injectors from Five0 Motorsports?

Negatory. Bosch from Oside Tiger. Budget wouldn't let me buy the Lucas ones.

Here's the Ebay link

Did a little more work on it today. Changed the oil and checked all the fluids. Power steering was a little low so I topped that off. Everything else looked good. Truck is so clean underneath for having this many miles and having spent it's whole life in Illinois.

Ordered new headlights. Just got the TYC stock replacements for now. Anything will be better than what is on there now.

Installed 2 of my big 3 wires. Negative terminal goes to chassis ground. Positive goes to alternator.

Also installed an 11 blade composite fan in place of the 9 blade steel that came factory.

For those who are wondering if the fan clutches are a direct swap between the fans the answer is yes. The bolt patterns are the same.

Also picked up the rest of the hardware I need to install my cab lights. Hoping to do those along with my OHC, comp/temp mirror, and tranny temp gauge in one shot this weekend.

For those who are wondering if the fan clutches are a direct swap the answer is yes. Swapping the fans is quite simple.

I'm going to assume you mean the fan is the same bolt pattern, and that's the "direct swap". I don't know how the 350 clutch would attach to the 454.

Yes that's what I meant. Sorry the first post wasn't more clear. Was way tired when I typed it out. I edited the OP to be more specific.

Its odd that it had the bolt on clutch. Haven't seen that on the L29 before

This is the 2nd one I've seen. I pulled a 9 blade steel fan from the junkyard a few months ago off a 454 and it had the same clutch.

Stopped by the exhaust shop today. Quoted me $180 to replace the factory 3' long dual in single out overly cumbersome muffler with a custom "y" and straight pipe. Probably going to wait another pay period before I pull the trigger on that. But I'm dying to hear that big block :).

nice looking truck dude!!! =)

if I was you, I would certainly start saving my money for a quickie long block rebuild to bolt on aluminum heads, intake, and nice headers... because that can save you as much as 300 lbs in the front end... not to mention let that huge block breath more freely.

I did the same thing with my fan though.
I got a plastic one from a modern Silverado to save weight and add extra blades, but kept the "severe duty" clutch... it sounds like a fan boat at start up, but it NEVER runs hot =)
