Not sure how I missed this build but it looks awesome so far. I'd love to have a 2500 with a 454 over a 1500 with a 5.7 any day. Color combo looks sweet too!

Thanks! The power difference between the two motors is night and day. I love the color combo too. That combined with the PY0's is what caught my eye when I saw it sitting on the lot.

Thanks guys. My buddies the one doing the build. He's loved that truck since I bought it. Hope to have it up and running before too long. The first mud bog around here is April 19th in Taylorville, IL. If all goes well that should be our first day of running it.

Installed my brush guard, off road lights, plastidipped my wheels, and threw on some almost bald 285's to see how I like the look. I'm loving it so far. Was going to install my cab lights today but it's supposed to start raining any minute now. Darn weather.

Cab lights are on. After several months of sitting in my garage. It's supposed to rain later today so we'll see how well I installed them lol.

Very nice truck! I kind of wish I had waited and started with a 2500 like this one. Only thing is I've had an 88 2500 HD suburban with a 454, auto and 4.10s and the thing was TERRIBLE on gas... Kinda scared me from a big block but you can't really match that power!

I know this is probably a taboo question, but how many MPG do you get?

I know this is probably a taboo question, but how many MPG do you get?

This one has 3.73's which does help a bunch. Along with being a smaller wheelbase truck, aluminum rims and aluminum driveshaft, it all adds up. Plus I pussyfoot the crap out of it just to keep the MPG's up. I can nurse 12 out of it. On steep hills though I can just about watch the gas guage drop haha.
