98 Chevy k1500 I know these transmission’s can be a pain….. what would make it not shift I do have some codes any advice would be helpful and thanks

So, I get in my truck this morning. First it up, and all is good. Go to my breakfast spot, kill the truck, go inside, and pick up my breakfast sandwich. Get back in, fore the truck up, and no tach, and CEL is tripped on. I put it in R back up, then OD, as usual, and it has no power, but does...

Based on those codes, I bet the trans won't shift because it's in "Limp Home" mode. Stuck in 3rd gear?
Clear the codes, see what comes back. Follow the diagnostic procedures in the service manual for those codes, unless you can find a service bulletin that applies.
If you fix one or two codes...you maybe fix all the rest at the same time (common cause.)
