Throttle Body Spacer

Is a throttle body space worth it on a 5.7 vortec? Are there any benefits from it besides intake noise?

If so, what goes into putting a throttle body spacer on a truck?
Just needing advice, thanks guys!

On a TBI 350 its worth it on a Vortec 350 does nothing, would work better as a paper weight
