I'm finalizing all the stuff for my 95 Burb build and am on the injection system right now. The motor is going to be a Vortec 454 so I can get the good heads and roller cam. It'll also have an NV4500 manual in it.

I was going to get the stock TBI and intake ported out, but someone told me a ported TBI unit with an edelbrock performer intake and adapter plate would be better than porting the stock intake.

Is this true? Did a search and wasn't finding anything.

I don't want to go to carb, so just to get that out of the way.

I'd question why you wouldn't just do a straight conversion to 7.4 Vortec instead of an adapter-plate mish-mash that may end up being difficult to tune, especially if you're sticking with the TBI ECM.

The TBI setup won't be that hard to tune really, it's a pretty simple setup.

If I can get a complete parts truck I am not opposed to swapping the entire harness and injection setup off of the Vortec motor.
