Swapping Manual Transmission into '94 2DR Blazer with 6.5 TDSL

Anyone had any experience or know of any reference about swapping a manual transmission into a '94 2DR Blazer 4WD with the stock 6.5L Turbo Diesel. I have one of these and love it, but the tranny is going out. I am hoping to put a 5 (or maybe even 6???) speed manual into it. I looked online on carpart.com and of course there are lots of MT's from K2500's with 6.5L TDSL's in junkyards. Is this the easiest swap? What all is involved? My truck is a base model with basically no factory options except a/c. Thanks for your help!

alot cheaper to rebuild auto than to risk spending $1,000 or more to run a junk yard clunker. unless you can pick up a whole parts car cheep for swap
