it takes 2" to level it out so I'm only gonna be squatting 2", I don't care for squat and I'm not doing it to squat, I just like my tires tucked into my fender wells and I have to attain more lift in the front to turn 15.5 wide tires. what can I do to the Dana 60 to improve upon it? axles, bearings, hubs, gears, brakes, I want the ultimate budget swap, my goal is under $5,000

Aound me, a HP 60 alone is right at 1,000. Of course if youre patient and wait, you can sometimes get them for less. And there's always the guy who get's them for free lol.

5K, including 40" Toyo's, is a very tight budget.

3* inches will be very noticable. With that budget I'd say you can rebuild it but not too much in the way of upgrades.
