question about PCV valve being loud after spacer install

so while my 90 was in the shop getting intake manifold gaskets done I had them put the TB spacer on that I bought. the shop Guy said that PCV valve will make more noise now cause of this. and it does. why?

It shouldn't. You may be able to hear it a tad bit better now that the air cleaner is sitting higher, but that's it.
