i had to become a member because im always recerching on stuff to do. i have a 1992 k1500 reg cab short bed 5 speed, and my sister has a 95 2 door tahoe and my gf has a 2 door 95 yukon. IM very familir with these body style trucks and the tbis.
I just bought a 96 4 door tahoe for $1000 for parts as the 305 is in my 1500 is tired and i want to swap in the vortec 5.7 in with the harnesses and the dash. i know that the computer will have to be reprogramed for the 5 speed and that the new dash has different brackets that i will have to take off the 96 tahoes body. Im 90% shore i wont have any problems but any input would be appreciated. the reason i want to do the vortec is for more power better fuel and because my dash is cracking.
