So bought this fine truck a couple years ago, drove it for a few months. 97 K2500 454/4l80 136k miles. Developed a rod knock. Should have been suspicious when the seller was like oh btw just did the lower intake on it. Oil looked good. Live and learn. Fast forward. Wanted a runner just to drive it and build the factory one nice. After a junk first motor, found a second that just needed a crank and bearings. Got her in and back on the road. So now I have 2 complete spares lol.. This is one of my forever vehicles. Will be the family camping, survival, overland behemoth. Love it and have plans and parts amassed for a ton of upgrades and modifications. Came to the group looking for ideas as well as sharing the multitude of things I will be doing to it, and custom designing for it.
