Actually now that i think about it these heads are off a core engine i bought. At some point the heads had been rebuilt. They were pretty clean and had heat tabs on them.My stock springs were beehives. I don't think those are stock springs, especially when you see they don't fit the retainer properly.

I painted it and i don't really know why i masked off the machine parts where the brackets rest other than i was masking for the timing cover/water pump and got carried away.Did you do the painting or the shop? I wonder why the machined flat areas on the front of the block were masked. Were the valve covers in rough shape? I often see picture of them quite corroded, with missing paint, but mine didn't do that.
I think here is the cam i am going to go with. Computer friendly and slightly better than stock.
