So it was a little damp here today. Coastal Rainforest during the monsoon season, so 'damp' would be a relative term!
Didn't feel like crawling under the truck long enough to get a pic.
I did get a measurement though. From the the others I have in the stash!
2 & 3/8" x 5". I have seen some that are 4.75" or 4.5" long. Shouldn't really matter, just as long as they're the proper degree.
The fat end of the wedge is about 7/16" thick. (That IS measured from my truck.)
Comparing measurements to the others, that looks to be a 4 degree angle.
Seems to me that the ones under my truck are 3.5. Like I said. It's been a while.
The 4's should work, though.
This how they go. Fat end towards the front of the truck. This will push the pinion nose down.
It's those front hangers which puts the angles outa whack.

I have these.

Not from Summit, though. Bought local. Most suspension shops should have 'em. (think...'4x4 Specialists') Steel or aluminum doesn't really matter.
What is weird, though, is that when you go to a 6 degree or greater wedge, they come with the big head centering bolts!
Don't get the hollowed out style wedges.

Clamp your springs when taking out that centering pin. Insurance against the springs shifting, & then having to fight to get the bolt through.
(Not a GMT400 pic)

The U-bolts are torque-to-yield. Don't re-use them. New are cheap. Get 'em from the same suspension shop. With new nuts & washers.
IIRC, you'll need ones for a 3" axle tube. You'll have to measure for length, 'cause I just can't remember.
(Taxing the memory pretty hard as it is! Lol!)
Good time to check the condition of that lower plate that the U-bolts go through, too. They're known to rot on these trucks.

Keep us posted on your results.

Thank you so much for your help I truly do appreciate it. I will be messing with the truck this weekend and I’ll post the results. Thanks again!

Great Info here guys, ended up going with DJM 2" drop spindles (DS2056-2), DJM 4" hanger and shackle kit (HS1121-4), Belltech shock kit (9523) and a Belltech driveshaft alignment kit (4981) to sort the vibration issues. I'll finish with a new set of Cooper Cobras in 275/60/15 all around.

Gonna pull the bed and go to town in ohhhhh 2 months or so (Currently living in a frozen waste land) I'll update when I get going! Thanks all!

Got my drop installed this past weekend...it's great so far except for one problem. Alignment is good...new tire setup is good...no vibrations thus far (whew). BUT...something happened to my front e-brake cables. Either they are now stretched...or something in the geometry changed a TON because they are way long. Anyone here have that happen and/or have a solution for it?

I just 2/4 dropped my '96 reg. cab. Getting the hanger rivets off with the bed on and an 90 angle drill and air hammer wore me out. But now that it's done and I am back to good health : ) and can move again, I am happy with the result.

Not sure about your wheels but my fronts are 15x7 with -6mm backspace and they just barely contacted the LCA on a wheel stop turn. I ground about 1/16 to an 1/8 inch off but i have already scrapped one after the suspension settled cutting hard backing out of the driveway. More grinding to do I guess.

Did You have trouble with pinion angle??

I have not had any problems with my pinion angle. I haven't actually measured/checked the angle but i have no vibrations.
Any updates? I’m planning on doing a 2/4 on my 1995 GMC extended cab. I already have 2” drop shackles on the back so I’d be doing a spring mount relocation and spindles in the front.
