i wanna do both at the same time but im switchin my tranny out with a lower mileage one and getting a new torque converter and a shift kit

yah id much rather be able to pick what gear im in all the time expeshally since I don't DD it

Not a bad pull for a old big block... These 454's kick ace but they don't last long if you rev them up real hard like mentioned before... the rings, and intake gasket fails on these, and are real common problems.. How many miles do you guys' 454's have? Mines almost at 200k

im about to hit 240k

that's nothing on a tranny mine went to 277k now its new and so is the engine
