Make sure you mount it far enough forward to avoid the glare off the windshield. If the glare on the hood is too much too, mount the light far enough back from the front edge of the roof will shade the hood from all of the spill light.

The radiused bars fit nicer along the windshield but are pretty pricey.

The only problem I see with the roof mounted ones are the fact that you have to drill holes in your roof. The last thing you want is a leak. I dont care how much silcone you use, it will leak at some point

Yep, it will most likely leak with silicone, but not if you use something like Sika-flex or other single component urethane, like what is used to bond the front, back and side glass in the truck.

The other problem is that it may break around the mount from flexing.
